The Presidency of AICESIS is held for a two-year term, according to a principle of rotation on a continental basis, by an Economic and Social Council member of the Association. 5. CES Romania participation in the ”Next Generation EU” meeting

A meeting organized by the Italian National Economic and Labor Council (CNEL) in partnership with the European Semester Group entitled "Next Generation EU" was held in hybrid format on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. The meeting focused on the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plans in the EU Member States and on the effective role of the national ESCs and the social partners in this process. 11. AICESIS Board 2024

On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, the Social and Economic Council of Curaçao (SER), which holds the presidency of the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS) for the term 2023-2025, organized an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors online (CA) of AICESIS. All four areas whose ESCs make up the Governing Council, namely Africa, Europe, Eurasia/Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, were represented at the meeting and a quorum was met for decision-making. On Monday, 27 March 2023, there was an online meeting of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and national economic and social councils within the EU. 17. Focus group organized online by the European Economic and Social Committee 2023

On Monday, April 3, 2023, the European Economic and Social Committee (CESE) organized an online administrative focus group, in which the Economic and Social Council from Portugal and the Economic and Social Council from Romania participated.
